Turkey Mesopotamia Tango Marathon

Turkey Mesopotamia Tango Marathon – A Tango Gathering in Mesopotamia. The story of the Mesopotamia Tango Marathon began in 2014 as a festival in Diyarbakir, Turkey. From the very first edition, this unique event has featured world-renowned performers and DJs from the heart of Argentina, specifically from Buenos Aires. After a pause during the pandemic, it has continued its journey in a new format as a tango marathon. Organised by Tango MED School and Kemal Ciwan Isik, the marathon takes place every September, offering an unforgettable tango experience in the ancient cities of Mesopotamia. The first two days of the event are held in Diyarbakir, a city rich in cultural heritage, followed by two inspiring days in the enchanting streets of Mardin. Each edition brings together acclaimed tango DJs and dancers from Buenos Aires, Europe, and across Turkey, blending the passion of dance, the warmth of friendship, and the magical atmosphere of Mesopotamia. More than just a dance event, the Mesopotamia Tango Marathon has become a cultural bridge and a celebration of the tango spirit that transcends borders. In 2025, it is preparing once again to create unforgettable memories for all participants. Contact: +90 505 595 34 24. Mail: mesopotamiatangomarathon@gmail.com
