I started DJing in 2008 by curiosity and because at that time in Paris, some Milonga used pre-set playlists running alone on the computer, which wasn't enough anymore.
I then cruised through my first music sets without knowing much about periods and orchestras, just by imagining "what would I like to dance now if I were on the dancefloor". And it worked.
And then I continued by learning, listening, reading and exchanging with fellow DJ's, and of course DJing more and more. I was always very careful about the dancing energy and flow, and mainly focused on choosing the right tanda for each moment.
Now I have a 5 years long experience in the regular Milongas in Paris as well as in Marathons and Festivals all over Europe, but I still ask myself every time I play: "what would I feel like dancing next Tanda?"
"So, can I invite you to dance?"
