I started DJing two years ago but tango music has been playing in my head all around the clock for many years already. At the moment I’m totally in love with energetic, dramatic music from the 40s and 50s, with Troilo as my all time favourite orchestra. However, in my opinion a good DJset should cover the whole range of orchestras from the 30s to the 60s, with all their different styles and moods, carefully put together to build an overall soundtrack for the milonga. And connecting to the dancers through the music is what makes it all worthwhile.
