5th BRUTIA TANGO MARATHON 2024 wellness edition

In addition, we have invited renowned tango teachers to give workshops and masterclasses for those who want to further develop their skills. The dance floor is spacious and well-maintained, providing the perfect space for dancers to showcase their tango moves. The venue itself is located in a beautiful and historic building, adding to the overall ambiance of the event. One unique aspect of this marathon is the special agenda items. We have organized a "tango salon" competition where dancers can showcase their improvisation skills and vie for the title of "best couple". Participants will also have the opportunity to attend special lecture sessions on tango history and culture, further enriching their understanding of the dance form. To ensure a respectful and enjoyable environment for all participants, we have implemented a few rules. First and foremost, this event is strictly invitation-only and limited to advanced dancers. This ensures that everyone on the dance floor is at a similar skill level, creating a seamless dancing experience. Additionally, we have a "cabeceo only" policy, which means that dancers must use eye contact and non-verbal cues to invite partners onto the dance floor, respecting the traditional etiquette of tango. The theme of this marathon is "Celebrating the Golden Age of Tango", paying homage to the iconic tango music and dance styles from the 1930s to the 1950s. Throughout the event, participants will be immersed in the rich history and nostalgia of this era, with special performances and music selections that capture the essence of the Golden Age.
